■ I cooked too much again. cook too much는 음식을 너무 많이 요리하는거고 overcook은 음식을 너무 오래 익히는거죠. ■ What should I do with these leftovers? leftover분석하면 left남겨진+ over초과된 = 많아서 남겨진 음식을 말하죠. 방금 자기 물건을 어떻게 어디다 두었는지 모를때 미국인들은 습관적으로 What did I do with it? (내가 그걸 어떻게했지?)이라고 말해요.■ This food smells bad. smell bad 대신 냄새가 악취가 나면 stink를 써서 This food stinks하면 되겠네요.■ I think it went bad. go bad = 상하다. 교통이 혼잡할때도 bad를 많이 써요. The traffic was bad this morning. 오늘 아침 교통이 혼잡했다. bad의 핵심 뜻은 뭔가 안 좋은 것을 의미한다고 보면 되겠네요. ■ Where is the food waste bin? bin은 조그만 통을 언급하는 것이고 바깥에 버리는 큰 쓰레기통은 trash(garbage가r비지) can이라고해요. can은 더 큰 통을 의미하는 거죠.■ I put it in the cabinet. a medicine cabinet = 약장-> bathroom에 조그만 약품들을 놓겠금 만들어 놓은 cabinet을 말해요. kitchen cabinet은 kitchen에 필요한 물건들을 보관하는 cabinet이고 pantry는 closet (벽장)처럼 만들어져 안에 선반도 몇개있고 쌀이나 식료품을 보관하는 곳을 말합니다.■ It's in here. 누구를 찾으면서 너 그 안에 있냐고 물을때 Are you in there? 라고 하면 돼요.
