save는 구원하다, 저축하다의 2가지 큰 뜻이 있어요. 사도행전(Acts) 16장 31절 보면 Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.주 예수를 믿으라 그리하면 너와 네집이 구원을 얻으리라. 하는 구절이 나오져. 그런데 미국에서는 save가 가끔 except라는 전치사의 품사로도 쓰입니다.☞He doesn't try to do anything save eating and sleeping. 그는 먹고 자는것 이외에는 아무것도 할려고 하지 않는다.
90 %of my total work is done (with) sitting down. with가 생략된 문장으로 보고 sitting이 동명사가 돼요. 구어에서 I'm done(with) talking to you. 나는 이제 너와 (더이상)말 안한다.라는 말을 아주 많이 하거든요. 이경우에도 taking이 with를 생략한 동명사로 보면 타당합니다.
