■ I love it when the week winds down.= I love when the week winds down. wind 발음 조심해야돼요. wind(윈ㄷ)는 바람과 관련될때고 wind(와인ㄷ) 감는다, 구불구불하다와 관련된 단어예요. wind down은 시계의 태엽이 풀리듯 천천히 풀려지는 nuance 가 있죠. Dogs are as sensitive as humans (are). are 는 생략 가능해요. ■ In many ways they are more sensitive. in many ways = in many respects 많은 점에서. they = dogs. sensitive발음은 보통 쎈써티ㅂ 정도 되는데 미국인은 쎈써리ㅂ라고 발음하는 사람들도 좀 있는 모양이네요. 영어 잘 못하는 사람들이 본토발음 흉내내 보려고 쎈써리ㅂ라고 하면 상대가 더 못 알아 듣을것 같네요. ■ Too bad they can't talk. 이문장은 It's too bad that they can't talk.를 좀 줄여서 말한거죠.
