Let's put off the meeting until 4 P.M. 오늘은 동사 put이 들어가는 구동사(phrasal verb)에 대해서 살펴보겠습니다. put away = eat. put away는 흔히 보통 '치우다'라고 해석하는데, 그 의미를 확대해서 먹어치우다가 되어서 '먹다(eat)'입니다. My brother could put away a whole chicken if I let him. 내가 허락하면, 내 동생은 전체 치킨을 먹을 수도 있다.
