● I want to see the movie Turtle story. 보다라는 동사로 see, watch, look (at)이 있는데 그 동사들의 정확한 쓰임 용법을 알아야겠죠. [see, watch, look at 세가지 표현의 차이] see, watch, look at 세가지 표현 모두 "보다"의 뜻이지만, 가끔 어떤 때에 어느 것을 사용 하는 것이 옳은지 헛갈릴 때가 있습니다. 세가지 표현간의 차이를 짧고 정확히 알아 보겠습니다. ■ see: 보고자 하는 의지와 상관 없이 그저 눈을 통해 보이는 것 ■ watch 와 look at: 능동적으로 보는 것, 하지만 watch는 보고자 하는 의지를 가지고 움직이는 물체를 볼 때 사용하고 ■ look at 은 보고자 하는 의지를 가지고 움직이지 않는 물체를 볼 때 사용. I SAW a bird in a tree and I WATCHED it build its nest. I SAW a box on my desk and I LOOKED AT what was in it. I am LOOKING AT pictures in a magazine. (Not moving). I WATCHED the airplane take off. I SAW a movie. 만약에 I watched a movie 라고 말한다면, 영화를 TV 에서 봤다고 오해 할 수 있습니다. see 와 watch의 차이점은 "보는 장소"입니다. 집에서 TV로 보면 watch가 되구요, 밖에 나가서 영화관에서 보면 see가 되는거죠. watch a movie도 가능한 이유는 빌려다가 집에서 볼수도 있고 영화채널에서도 영화를 보여주기 때문이죠.● Did you see the trailer for it? trailer는 주로 영국에서 쓰는 말로 예고편이란 뜻이고 미국에서는 예고편을 주로 preview라고 해요. 미국에서는 trailer하면 이동식 큰 차를 언급하구요.● I've been waiting for it to be released. release의 핵심 뜻은 뭔가 붙잡은 것을 놓아주는 것을 의미하구요.
