How was it?는 그것 어땠어?이런 nuance 이구요.✒I'd say it went pretty well. I'd = I would. 과거로 물어봤으니까 시제 일치시켜 주느라 전부 과거 시제 써서 대답했네요. would는 will의 과거고 went는 go의 과거시제죠. ✏Can you please fill me in on the details? fill me in on the details 은 몇달전에도 한번 나왔었죠. fill me in on the details는 나에게 자세히 얘기해 주다. 자세히(on the details) 나에게(나를) 정보로(얘기로, 말로) 채우다라는 nuance에요. 참고로 fill in for는 누구를 대신하다는 뜻이에요. 직장에서 자기가 아파서 출근 못할것 같으면 동료에게 Can you fill in for me tomorrow? 나 좀 내일 대신해 줄래? 이렇게 현지인들은 말하죠.✒I'd be more than happy to(fill you in on the details). to는 뒤에 오는 동사가 빤 할때는 동사를 생략하고(아마도 귀찬아서) 그냥 to만 써요. Don't mention it 대신에 미국에서는 You're welcome.이라고 하고 영국에서는 Not at all.(천만에)
